Biography: Former walk-on coming off a breakout campaign. Led UConn in receptions as a senior, posting 48/893/8, with an average of 18.6 yards per catch. Junior totals included four receptions.
Positives: Tall, athletic receiver who?s starting to break out. Comes back to the ball out of breaks and uses his frame to shield away defenders and protect the pass. Effectively extends his hands away from his frame, looks the pass in, and shows the ability to pluck the fastball from the air. Will extend and expose himself in order to make the reception and shows the ability to take a big hit yet hold onto the ball. Strong running after the reception, and works to pick up positive yardage. Gives effort blocking downfield.
Negatives: Takes a bit of time to get it going and Lacks overall quickness in his game. Runs fast for the stopwatch yet does not translate that speed onto the field consistently.
Analysis: Easley is an intriguing prospect whose best football is ahead of him. His production has been spotty, yet he has the physical skills to be a third receiver at the next level and can make an NFL roster for a team willing to patiently develop his skills.
