Conference: Non-Division I
40 Time: 4.62
Biography: All-Conference and All-American selection as a senior, after leading the team in receiving with numbers of 101/1424/18. Junior totals included 43/706/10.
Positives: Large, imposing possession receiver coming off a career year. Uses his frame to shield away defenders, comes back to the ball to make himself an available target, and uses his size to beat down opponents. Extends his hands, adjusts to the errant throw, and effectively makes the reception away from his body. He looks the ball in, displaying solid eye/hand coordination. Fluid in all his movements and plays with good body control.
Negatives: Lacks a quick release off the line, tends to round off routes, and is not very quick on exit. Unnecessarily lets the pass get inside him at times. Must turn up the intensity blocking. Looks like he's going half speed on occasion.
Analysis: Jackson is a talented prospect who really put it together as a senior. He has a degree of upside and can play at the next level as a fourth receiver but must really keep his motor going and hit on all cylinders for 60 minutes.
