SUNRISE, Florida (Ticker) -- The Orlando Predators try to stay in the thick of the Southern Division playoff race Sunday when they battle the Florida Bobcats. Orlando completed a season sweep and moved within a game of division-leading Tampa Bay last week with a 46-38 triumph over the Storm. Craig Whelihan completed 15-of-27 passes for 244 yards, five touchdowns and an interception for the Predators. Siaha Burley caught six passes for 99 yards and two TDs to help the Predators to their seventh win in eight games. Burley, who is ranked second in the league with 31 touchdowns and 188 points, returned two missed field goals for 44 yards and five kickoffs for 133 yards. Orlando's top-ranked defense is anchored by Kenny McIntyre, who is tied for second in the AFL with eight interceptions. Damon Mason is tied for second in the league with 96 tackles. Florida's postseason hopes suffered a serious blow last week as it was beaten in overtime by San Jose, 56-55. The Bobcats scored 28 unanswered points in the first half, but San Jose tied it with eight seconds left in regulation and scored the first seven points of overtime. Bernard Holmes caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Rickey Foggie, but the Bobcats' two-point conversion was unsuccessful and San Jose escaped with a win. Holmes caught 11 passes for 169 yards and three touchdowns and Clarence Lawson returned seven kickoffs for 144 yards. Foggie completed only 19-of-41 passes and had three interceptions, but he also threw for eight TDs. After 10 straight regular-season losses to Orlando 10, Florida finally got the monkey off its back in Week 2 with a 38-25 victory. Foggie was 24-for-35 for 254 yards with four TDs and an interception for the Bobcats. Holmes hauled in five passes for 104 yards and two scores, while Burley had three receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown, a two-yard scoring run and six kickoff returns for 109 yards.
