Arena Football League Recap (New Jersey-Nashville) Posted: Sat May 16, 1998 at 1:07 a.m EDT NASHVILLE 46, NEW JERSEY 42Andy Kelly threw two touchdown passes to Cory Fleming 43 second apart in the final minute as the Nashville Kats rallied past the New Jersey Red Dogs, 46-42. The Red Dogs (1-2) held a 42-31 lead with 3:51 to play after a one-yard run by Aaron Garcia. But Kelly, who had six touchdown passes, hooked up with Fleming on a 17-yard scoring pass and the two converted a two-point play to make it 42-39 with 56 seconds left. Nashville (3-0) then recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and marched the length of the field in six plays, capped by a 17-yard pass from Kelly to Fleming, who had five TD receptions, with 13 seconds to play. Kelly completed 25-of-47 passes for 253 yards with two interceptions as the Kats kept pace with Orlando in the Southern Division. Fleming caught 14 passes for 138 yards for Nashville, which forced six turnovers. Aaron Garcia completed 17-of-25 passes for 163 yards with three interceptions and two touchdowns for the Red Dogs, who had just 15 rushing yards.
