Arena Football League Recap (Albany NY-Tampa Bay) Posted: Sun April 25, 1999 at 4:21 a.m EDT ALBANY NY 49, TAMPA BAY 42TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- Mike Pawlawski threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Eddie Brown with 46 seconds remaining as the Albany Firebirds won their first road game against the Tampa Bay Storm in eight opportunities with a 49-42 triumph. The game-winning drive covered 45 yards in five plays after the Storm's Andre Bowden ran it in from one yard out to tie the contest at 42-42. Pawlawski completed 23-of-37 passes for 369 yards and five touchdowns. As usual for Albany, Brown was the go-to guy, catching 14 passes for 213 yards. Peter Tom Willis finished with 321 yards passing, completing 27-of-42 passes with four touchdowns. Lawrence Samuels had 11 receptions for 114 yards. Albany continues its three-game road trip to open the season on May 2 when it travels to New Jersey and attempts to avenge its loss to the Red Dogs in last season's semifinals.
