Lions to a 37-23 victory over the Calgary Stampeders. Allen completed 25-of-34 passes, including scoring strikes of nine and 27 yards to Alfred Jackson. The nine-yard connection put the Lions (6-3) ahead to stay, 17-11. Less than two minutes later, Al Shipman scored on a 76-yard punt return, helping B.C. build a 24-12 halftime lead. Lui Passaglia added three field goals for the Lions, who moved within two points of first-place Edmonton in the Western Division. Jeff Garcia threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns for the Stampeders (4-5), who are tied with Saskatchewan for third place in the West. © 2003 SportsTicker Enterprises, LP
