CFL Recap (Bc-Saskatchewan) Posted: Sat July 25, 1998 at 2:00 a.m EDT BC 25, SASKATCHEWAN 20Robert Drummond rushed for 187 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown with 1:06 to play, as the B.C. Lions survived a late charge and posted their first win of the season, 25-20 over the Saskatchewan Roughriders. After Reggie Slack's eight-yard scoring pass to Shawn Daniels drew Saskatchewan within 18-13 with 4:43 remaining, Drummond raced 66 yards to restore B.C.'s 12-point lead with 94 seconds to play. Just 49 seconds later, Slack hit Curtis Mayfield for a 15-yard touchdown to make it 25-20. The Roughriders recovered the ensuing onsides kick at their own 50, but after two incomplete passes, B.C. lineman Dave Chaytors sacked Slack to preserve the win. Damon Allen tossed an 85-yard scoring pass to Rod Harris in the second quarter and ageless Lui Passaglia kicked three field goals and a single for B.C. (1-3). Harris caught three passes for 103 yards. Slack was 32-of-46 for 324 yards, Donald Narcisse had eight receptions for 102 yards and Dan Farthing added nine catches for 101 yards for Saskatchewan (2-2). © 1998 Sportsticker Enterprises, LP
