CFL Recap (Calgary-Bc) Posted: Fri August 21, 1998 at 3:18 a.m EDT CALGARY 55, BC 9Jeff Garcia threw five touchdown passes and the Calgary Stampeders raced to a 22-point halftime lead en route to a 55-9 romp of the B.C. Lions. Garcia, who completed 19-of-27 passes for 344 yards, tossed TD passes of 25, 14, 43 and five yards in the opening half as Calgary (6-2) built a 31-9 advantage. Garcia also threw a 42-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Allen Pitts finished with five catches for 125 yards and a pair of scores for the Stampeders, who have won three straight games. Lui Passaglia accounted for all the B.C. (3-5) offense with two field goals from 51 yards and another from 14 yards.
