The Plot

The Bulls finished their last I-AA season with consecutive losses to Liberty, Western Illinois, Villanova and Hofstra. One can only shudder at the thought of their Nov. 7 date with Virginia (no, nothing in front of Virginia). Buffalo will be horrendous, even by MAC standards, but hey, write it off as an "expansion team."

Introducing

WR/KR Drew Haddad -- Second-leading punt returner in all of I-AA last year.
G Mike Garofalo -- Three-year starter anchors veteran offensive line.
LB Chris Shelly -- Burst onto scene with 80 tackles as a freshman.

Why it will work:

Unfamiliarity could catch some conference foes off guard.

Why it won't:

You have to actually stop someone to get to Haddad's heroics.
