The Plot

The Road to BCS Payday

Son of famous coach rides into small town and rights all that is wrong with team gone bad. After guiding Tulane to a perfect season, Tommy Bowden has another project on his hands in Clemson. The Tigers and their faithful are not used to being in this predicament, and they think Bowden can right the ship. But the tools he's been given to use this year are rudimentary at nearly every position. The biggest problem - not one starter on the offensive line returns.

The Director

Tommy Bowden -- first season; 19-4 overall

Starring

WR Mel Lawyer -- Will have a lot of balls thrown his way in Bowden's offense.
LB Harold Means - Undersized man in the middle specializes in stopping the run.

Co-starring

QB Brandon Streeter -- Will get plenty of chances to show off his arm this season.
FS Robert Carswell -- Bad stat from last year, a DB with over 100 tackles.
RB Javis Austin -- Must step into spotlight after Travis Zachary's suspension from team.
C Kyle Young -- The best prospect on an entirely new offensive line.

And introducing

DE Nick Eason -- Had three sacks in spring game, came against inexperienced offensive line.

Why it will work

Clemson lost four games by a touchdown or less last year. All they need is confidence in crunch time from Bowden.

Why it won't

A new offensive line and an inexperienced defensive line. Both will get pushed around like rag dolls.
