WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -- Purdue running back Steve Ennis has been suspended indefinitely, Boilermakers head football coach Joe Tiller announced Friday.

Ennis will not accompany the team to the Rose Bowl, according to a news release.

The suspension was due to "conduct detrimental to the squad," Tiller was quoted in the news release.

Tiller said he would have no further comment.

Ennis, a 6-foot, 200-pound sophomore from Flower Mound, Texas, rushed for 82 yards and had eight touchdowns this season.
