Weinke edges Heupel, becomes oldest Heisman winner
In the end, age didn't matter. Chris Weinke, 28, won the 2000 Heisman Trophy as college football's outstanding player Saturday night, edging Oklahoma's Josh Heupel 1,628-1,552, a 76-point margin. By comparison, Wisconsin's Ron Dayne won by 1,048 last year.
