Kabongo suspended for Rose Bowl

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Nebraska defensive tackle Patrick Kabongo won't play in the Rose Bowl because he violated a team rule.
Kabongo, a 6-foot-6, 290-pound sophomore reserve, did not travel with the team to California for the BCS title game against No. 1 Miami, coach Frank Solich said Thursday.
Nebraska worked out in sweats for nearly two hours at the University of Southern California before going to Disneyland in nearby Anaheim.
