The People's Heisman asks CNNSI.com readers to answer the question: If the Heisman Trophy were handed out right now, who should get the award?
Vote from Sunday to Tuesday each week (beginning Sunday, Sept. 22), and based on the weekly results, points will be awarded to the top three finishers. The stakes are doubled for the last five weeks, the key stretch run: 10 points for first place, six for second place and two for third place.
The player who accumulates the most points during the course of the season will be the winner of The People's Heisman.
Last week's results: Iowa QB Brad Banks finished in first place for the fourth straight week, giving him an 18-point lead overall and mathematically eliminating all other contenders. Banks, therefore, is the winner of CNNSI.com's The People's Heisman .
