Syracuse 18, Kansas St. 35
Michael Bishop threw four touchdown passes and ran for another score as Kansas State closed out the best season in school history with a 35-18 victory over Syracuse in the Fiesta Bowl at Tempe, Arizona.
Recap | Game Summary

|
Syracuse QB Donovan McNabb lost all Heisman chances early on but has passed for 20 TDs and run for six more. You figure out how a team with RB Dee Brown and WR Kevin Johnson has only 11 field goals in 12 games this season. K-State QB Michael Bishop has his team on a seven-game win streak, throwing for 13 scores and running for nine. The Wildcat secondary heads up the No. 4 defense in the country, yielding only 256.8 yards per game.

Two things Kansas State must do: run the ball well and keep punts away from Quentin Spotwood, who has returned four punts for touchdowns this season. The only two games the Wildcats haven't won convincingly - a 56-26 loss to Nebraska and a 23-20 win over (gulp) Ohio - are the only two games where Kansas State hasn't rushed for 100 yards. Not for a lack of trying, either - in both games, the Wildcats had at least 40 rushes, but couldn't reach the century mark.

In Syracuse's eight-game win streak, the Orangemen have won by an average margin of 40-11.
