Sherrod Gideon set a Liberty Bowl record with three touchdown receptions and Southern Mississippi got three scores from its defense as it routed Pittsburgh, 41-7, at Memphis, Tennessee.

Pittsburgh (don't call us Pitt) has QB, Pete Gonzalez, who leads the Big East with 29 TD passes and WR, Terry Murphy, who leads the league with 13 TD catches and an average of 19 yards a catch. Southern Miss RB Harold Shaw is the top runner in C-USA with 1,045 yards and 16 TDs, while WR Sherrod Gideon leads the loop in receiving with 1,007 yards and an 18.7 yards-a-catch average.

Pittsburgh has losses to Temple, Boston College -- and Notre Dame, for goodness sake. This game looks like it'll be all Southern Miss. The Golden Eagles' C-USA schedule doesn't help, but they never lost to Temple.
