Najeh Davenport Najeh Davenport and Miami throttled Big East brethren Rutgers 61-0. AP

Each week, Sports Illustrated college football writer Ivan Maisel discloses his ballot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Showing all the backbone of a 5-year-old without a night light, I have been swayed by Miami's 61-0 victory over Rutgers (they say there's a difference between the Greg Schiano Era and the Terry Shea Era. Hmmmm....). Maybe I missed margin of victory more than I thought I would. Don't forget, this is the season that it isn't supposed to matter any longer.

I also dropped Tennessee down to ninth. Monsoon or no monsoon, that offense is not a top-five offense. Should Washington be higher than 16th?

I'm not too sure that Michigan is all that good. In fact, somebody please find me a favorite in the Big Ten. Operators are standing by. Oregon State vindicated my lack of faith in them last week (when I dropped them out of the poll) by squeaking past New Mexico State, 27-22. Hey Beavers, you can still win the Pac-10. Honest. Don't pack it in yet.

Say hello to Georgia, who makes the poll despite the 14-9 loss to South Carolina. I think the 'Dogs will get straightened out.
