Woodrow Dantzler Woodrow Dantzler accounted for 517 total yards, four TD passes and two rushing TDs. AP

By Stewart Mandel, CNNSI.com

For the first time in the three seasons we've been doing this, we find no choice but to give CNNSI.com's player of the week honor to two players.

On the one hand, you have UCLA RB DeShaun Foster, whose performance against Washington, a Top 10 team on Saturday, was about as good as it gets. The senior set school records by rushing 27 times for 301 yards and four touchdowns against a highly regarded Huskies defense.

But then there's Clemson QB Woodrow Dantzler, who broke his own school record with 517 yards of offense (333 passing, 184 rushing) and shattered a 54-year mark by accounting for six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) against N.C. State.

The amazing thing is, these were the most dazzling performances yet by two superstars who have already wowed us on countless occasions before. Foster last captured our award on Sept. 2, 2000, with his 187-yard day in an upset of then-No. 3 Alabama. Dantzler followed just three weeks later, rushing 18 times for 220 yards (yes, he's a quarterback) against Virginia.
