CNNSI.com's latest bowl projections

Tennessee is going to the Rose Bowl!
Or maybe the Outback Bowl.
The new BCS standings won't be released until Monday, but it would appear Tennessee's win at Florida, combined with Texas' loss to Colorado and Oregon's uneventful game against Oregon State, puts the surprising Vols (10-1) into the driver's seat to face Miami (11-0) for the national championship.
But they're not out of the woods yet on Rocky Top. With the Orange Bowl almost certain to tap the home-state Gators (9-2) for its at-large selection, Tennessee likely faces the unusual prospect of either heading to Pasadena if it beats LSU in next week's SEC championship, or slipping out of the BCS entirely if it loses.
Other bowl ramifications from this weekend's action:
Texas' (10-2) loss drops it to the Holiday Bowl, with the Cotton, picking before it, going with Oklahoma (10-2).
With Penn State losing to Virginia and falling short of the necessary six wins, Iowa is now the Big Ten team in the Alamo Bowl. Southern Miss (6-4) coach Jeff Bower is steamed about the GMAC Bowl selecting East Carolina (6-5) instead of his club. Now, they must beat TCU (5-5) on Friday, because the GalleryFurniture.com Bowl has already said it will pick the winner.
Below is our stab at projecting the postseason lineup, with updates to follow the rest of the week. Most non-BCS matchups are expected to be announced early in the week, with only the BCS games and a few others dependent on the results of next weekend's games.
