Game recap
Game summary
The Star Matt Mauck, QB LSU
Freshman entered the game after Rohan Davey was injured and played like a veteran. He had two rushing TDs.
The Skinny It's not like we couldn't see this coming. First Oklahoma blew its shot at the Rose Bowl, then Florida, then Texas. Now Tennessee follows suit as the Vols could not rise to meet LSU's intensity in the SEC Championship. Does anyone want to play Miami in the Rose Bowl?
The Future LSU (9-3): Jan. 1, Sugar Bowl vs. Illinois
Tennessee (10-2): Bowl game, TBA

Hawaii 72 at Honolulu
No. 9
BYU 45
Game recap
Game summary
The Star Nick Rolovich, QB, Hawaii
Gave BYU a dose of its own medicine with 543 yards passing and eight TD passes.
The Skinny We figured as much. BYU never really belonged in the BCS after all. With a shot at keeping their perfect season alive, the Cougars gave a school-worst 72 points to Hawaii's high-octane offense, which also produced 646 yards in total offense. Amazingly Hawaii, even at 9-3, was not invited to a bowl game.
The Future Hawaii (9-3): End of season
BYU (12-1): Dec. 31, Liberty Bowl vs. Louisville

TCU 14 at Hattiesburg, Miss.
Southern Miss 12 Game recap
Game summary
The Star Adrian Madise, WR, TCU
His miraculous, one-handed 74-yard TD reception put TCU ahead for good -- and in a bowl game.
The Skinny It's on to Houston and the galleryfurniture.com Bowl for TCU. The Horned Frogs got in the mix with an upset of league champ Louisville two weeks ago. TCU took the lead in the third quarter on Madise's 74-yard TD reception from QB Casey Printers. Southern Miss had a chance to get within FG range to win the game in the final minute, but Jeff Kelly threw an INT that ended the Golden Eagles' season.
The Future TCU (6-5): galleryfurniture.com Bowl vs. Texas A&M
Southern Miss (6-5): End of season.
