Two teams trying to climb the football mountaintop meet at the Insight.com Bowl. Iowa State is in its first bowl game since 1978 and looks for its first postseason win. The Panthers went 7-4 in the Big East behind a balanced attack featuring the 2000 Biletnikoff winner, Antonio Bryant, and Kevan Barlow, who ran for over 1000 yards. Iowa State is a physical team with the Big XII's leading rusher in Ennis Haywood. But the defense was only 10th in the conference against the pass.
