Purdue Boilermakers vs Washington Huskies Rose Bowl Game Presented by AT&T - In Hot Water January 01, 2001 by: Sportvision The Rose Bowl has seen several shootouts in the past decade and this matchup has the potential to put up big numbers as well. Two of the most exciting quarterbacks in the game meet in Drew Brees and Marques Tuiasosopo. Both are dangerous in and out of the pocket. But Washington has an added concern in Purdue's WR Vinny Sutherland. His blazing speed makes him a touchdown threat every time he touches the ball. Both defenses will have their hands full in Pasadena.

Coaching Points: QB Drew Brees (15) lines up in the shotgun and looks for Sutherland (14) on the corner route. Sutherland finds the soft spot in the zone between S Hakim Akhar (9) and CB Omare Lowe (12).
