Miami Hurricanes vs Florida Gators
Sugar Bowl - Does Moss Grow Indoors?

January 02, 2001
by: Sportvision

No bowl game this season figures to display as much pure speed as the Sugar Bowl. Both teams are loaded with actual and would-be track stars, but Miami's Santana Moss could be the fastest of them all. The 'Canes want to utilize his breathtaking speed in a variety of ways in order to get him into the open field. Florida must be concerned with him on punt returns, pass receptions and the reverse. If Moss does grow indoors, Miami will win this long-awaited Sunshine State showdown and perhaps grab a share of the national title.

Coaching Points:

  • QB Ken Dorsey (11) fakes to RB James Jackson (21) as Moss (6) comes back around for the reverse.
  • FB D.J. Williams (17) blocks DE Alex Brown (13) allowing Moss to get outside.
