ANNAPOLIS, Maryland (Ticker) -- No. 13 Georgia Tech has its final tuneup before back-to-back conference showdowns against Florida State and Clemson when its visits Navy on Saturday.

After struggling to get past Syracuse, 13-7, in the Kickoff Classic, the Yellow Jackets (2-0) were more impressive in last week's 35-7 victory over The Citadel. But coach George O'Leary still sees room for more improvement.

"All the service academies play well at home, so that's a concern to me," O'Leary said. "The Navy offense, which spreads it around, is an equalizer right now, so that's another concern. They run a lot of option and they do that very well, so we have to be very responsible on defense."

Georgia Tech is 20-10 against the three service academies, but just 2-3 against Navy (0-1) at Navy-Marines Corps Stadium with wins in 1942 and 1999.

The Yellow Jackets routed the Midshipmen, 40-13, in Atlanta last year, taking advantage of six Navy fumbles. George Godsey completed 10-of-19 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns.

Godsey completed 14-of-16 for 222 yards and two touchdowns in less than two quarters last week and Joe Burns rushed for as pair of scores against The Citadel. Burns has run for 140 yards and three touchdowns in Georgia Tech's first two contests.

All-Atlantic Coast Conference receiver Kelly Campbell was held out of The Citadel game with an ankle injury after grabbing 10 passes for 193 yards.

While O'Leary is concerned about Navy's option attack, the Middies could have trouble generating much of an attack against the Yellow Jackets, who have allowed just one touchdown in each of their first two outings.

In addition, Navy's defense was suspect in last Thursday's 45-26 loss to Temple as the Owls outrushed the Middies, 319-89. Navy quarterback Ed Malinowski was benched after completing 9-of-15 for 86 yards.

Georgia Tech leads the all-time series, 15-9. Navy's last win came in Atlanta in 1996.
