PASADENA, California (Ticker) -- Whether they do it on the ground or through the air, Oregon has been unstoppable of late.

The seventh-ranked Ducks, in a three-way tie for first place in the Pac-10, hope to keep their high-powered offense in gear on Saturday when they visit slumping No. 16 UCLA, who will be without running back DeShaun Foster.

Joey Harrington, one of five finalists for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award and a Heisman Trophy candidate, tied a school record with six touchdown passes last week as the Ducks (8-1, 5-1 Pac-10) routed Arizona State, 42-24.

Keenan Howry caught four of Harrington's TD tosses to tie a Pac-10 Conference mark.

Harrington passed for 319 yards, his fifth career 300-yard game. He also had six TD passes in a 56-55 double overtime victory over Arizona State last year to match Dan O'Neal's school record.

Two weeks ago, Onterrio Smith rushed for a school-record 285 yards and three touchdowns in a 24-17 victory over Washington State, which joins Oregon and Washington atop the Pac-10 standings.

Smith was not quite as effective against Arizona State, but still ran for 152 yards on 36 carries.

After Saturday's game, Oregon has three weeks off before hosting Oregon State on December 1.

Cory Paus returned to the UCLA lineup last week, but it was not enough as the Bruins (6-2, 3-2) suffered a 20-14 loss at Washington State for their second straight defeat.

Paus was ineffective while playing with a bruised thumb. He completed just 7-of-19 passses for 197 yards with three interceptions.

UCLA was done in by seven turnovers and likely dropped out of the Pac-10 race. Prior to the losing streak, the Bruins had climbed to No. 3 in the Bowl Championship Series standings.

Foster was declared ineligible by the school and will not play this week. On Tuesday, the NCAA made UCLA aware of a possible "extra benefits" violation by Foster, who is third in the nation in rushing with 1,109 yards on 216 carries.

UCLA leads the all-time series, 29-10, but suffered a 29-10 loss in Eugene last season. Foster ran for only 49 yards on 19 carries as the Bruins were held to minus-nine yards on the ground.
