BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- Dusty Bonner continued to do his best Tim Couch impression, passing for 304 yards and five touchdowns as Kentucky posted its fifth straight victory over Indiana, 44-35. Bonner has put up impressive statistics since succeeding Couch, the top overall pick in the 1999 NFL draft. The sophomore completed of 24-of-31 passes and threw touchdowns to four different receivers. In three games, Bonner is 92-of-133 for 1,089 yards, 12 TDs and three interceptions. Today, Bonner accounted for all the scoring in a 21-point second quarter that put the Wildcats (2-1) ahead for good. He hit Brad Pyatt for a 19-yard score 62 seconds into the period to forge a 14-14 tie, then found tight end James Whalen Jr. for a 27-yard touchdown midway through the quarter. Bonner's 17-yard TD toss to Dougie Allen just over two minutes later extended Kentucky's lead to 28-14 at halftime. Indiana's Antwaan Randle El tried to keep pace, rolling up 316 yards in total offense. But Bonner and Allen connected again for a 17-yard score in the final minute of the third quarter, enabling the Wildcats to carry a 38-21 lead into the final period. Randle El's lone touchdown pass was a 34-yarder to running back Levron Williams with 3:17 remaining that lifted Indiana (1-2) within 41-35. But Kentucky recovered the ensuing onsides kickoff and Marc Samuel put it out of reach with a 34-yard field goal with 1:30 to play. Randle El completed 16-of-32 passes for 201 yards with three interceptions. He also led the Hoosiers' rushing attack with 115 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Anthony White ran for 130 yards on 26 attempts for Kentucky, which improved to 13-16-1 in the all-time series.
