BOISE, Idaho (Ticker) -- Bart Hendricks threw for 269 yards and Boise State scored 17 unanswered points in the third quarter en route to a 20-9 victory over New Mexico. Boise State (2-2) trailed 9-3 at the half before taking control of the contest in the third quarter. Nick Calaycay kicked a 22-yard field goal 2:58 into the period and Hendricks followed exactly three minutes later by hitting Dave Stachelski with a three-yard TD pass to put the Broncos ahead for good. Greg Sasser made good on his only carry of the game, scoring on a 39-yard jaunt with 4:23 left in the period to provide the final margin. Hendricks completed 21-of-31 passes and also rushed for 41 yards on 13 carries. Eric Jaworsky hit Brian Urlacher with an eight-yard TD pass in the first quarter for the lone New Mexico (1-3) touchdown. Jaworsky finished 9-of-13 for 116 yards.
