BOISE, Idaho (Ticker) -- Bart Hendricks passed for 215 yards and Nick Calaycay kicked four field goals as Boise State won for the third time in four games and handed Utah its first loss with a 26-20 victory. Hendricks reached the 200-yard plateau for the fourth time this season and 11th in his career. He got the Broncos on the board with an 11-yard touchdown run just four minutes in. Hendricks fired his lone scoring pass 2 1/2 minutes later, an 80-yard strike to Dave Stachelski for a 14-0 cushion. The junior signal caller completed 17-of-28 passes. Hendricks was named Big West Offensive Player of the Week after completing 21-of-31 passes last week against New Mexico. He entered with the highest completion percentage in the conference at 57.9 for Boise State (3-2). Darnell Arceneaux threw a 52-yard scoring pass to Cliff Russell in the second period and Andre Dyson returned an interception 26 yards for a touchdown in the third period to pull Utah (3-1) within 14-13. Arceneaux fell to 9-1 as a starter. Calaycay, who took over the kicking duties during last week's game, was 4-for-5 on field goal attempts. The freshman made kicks of 45, 37, 23 and 25 yards to give the Broncos a 26-13 bulge. Boo Bendiger closed the scoring for the Utes when he caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from T.D. Croshaw late in the contest.
