RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Jamie Barnette threw a career-high four touchdown passes, including a three-yarder to Andy Vanderveer in the opening minute of the fourth quarter, as North Carolina State topped Clemson, 35-31, in an Atlantic Coast Conference battle. Barnette's decisive pass completed a six-play, 45-yard drive and helped the Wolfpack (4-2, 1-2 ACC) snap a two-game losing streak. He completed 15-of-29 passes for 215 yards and threw four scoring passes for the third time in his career and second against Clemson (2-3, 2-1). The Tigers owned a 24-14 lead early in the second quarter when the Wolfpack began their comeback. Barnette fired a 22-yard touchdown pass to Brian Peterson late in the half and added a toss to Vanderveer midway through the third quarter, giving NC State a 28-24 bulge. Woodrow Dantzler, making his second career start for the injured Brandon Streeter, put Clemson back in front with a 26-yard TD pass to Brian Wofford for a 31-28 lead with 3:01 left in the third quarter. Dantzler was 23-of-41 for 284 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers, who fell for the second time in three games. Wofford caught six passes for 100 yards. Streeter was lost for the season after breaking his collarbone last week against North Carolina. Rahshon Spikes led the Wolfpack's rushing attack with 104 yards and a TD on 23 carries. Ryan Hamrick caught five passes for 77 yards and one score as NC State beat Clemson for just the third time in seven meetings under coach Mike O'Cain, a Clemson alumnus.
