CHESTNUT HILL, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- Tim Hasselbeck found Dedrick DeWalt with a 36-yard touchdown pass with under two minutes remaining, lifting Boston College to a 20-16 victory over Pittsburgh in a Big East Conference matchup.

Hasselbeck also connected with DeWalt on a 26-yard TD pass with 1:54 left in the third quarter that pulled Boston College (5-1, 2-1 Big East) into a 13-13 tie. John Matich had the extra point blocked.

Nick Lotz kicked his third field goal of the contest early in the fourth period to put the Panthers (3-3, 1-2) ahead before Hasselbeck hit DeWalt for the winning points with 1:48 to go.

Hasselbeck completed 13-of-24 passes for 202 yards and DeWalt had six catches for 90 yards as the Eagles rebounded from last week's embarrassing loss at Temple. Backup Brian St. Pierre also saw action, completing 9-of-15 passes for 115 yards, including a four-yard TD pass to Bryan Arndt which opened the scoring.

Pittsburgh got its lone touchdown 2:04 before halftime when David Priestley hit tight end Kirk McMullen with a three-yard pass that gave the Panthers a 10-7 advantage.

Priestley was 20-of-30 for 291 yards with one interception and Jon Turman was 8-of-10 for 55 yards.
