MANHATTAN, Kansas (Ticker) -- Joe Hall ran for a career-high 195 yards and two touchdowns and Jamie Rheem kicked four field goals as eighth-ranked Kansas State routed Utah State, 40-0.

Hall carried 25 times for Kansas State (6-0) in its final non-conference game of the season. The Wildcats, who are 3-0 in the Big 12, visit Oklahoma State next Saturday. Kansas State has won its last 19 home games and 47 straight contests against non-ranked opponents at KSU Stadium.

The 6-2, 290-pound Hall, who is the heaviest running back in the nation, had a six-yard touchdown run to give Kansas State a 19-0 lead with 4:08 remaining in the third quarter. Hall capped an eight-play, 87-yard drive with a 10-yard scoring run that pushed the margin to 33-0 with just over four minutes left in the game.

"We were very frustrated today because we couldn't score early on," Hall said. "Their defense was good but not good enough to keep us out of the end zone. It was just a matter of getting on track."

Jonathan Beasley completed 9-of-29 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown for Kansas State, which limited the Aggies to 156 yards of total offense. Utah State rushed 18 times for minus-7 yards.

"Their is a reason they are the best defense in the nation," said Utah State coach Dave Arslanian. "Plays that we have ran in the past few weeks and getting 10 to 12 yards, today we only got three to four yards."

Jeff Crosbie was 11-of-40 for 155 yards for Utah State (2-4), which fell to 9-36-1 against teams from the Big 12. Jose Fuentes replaced Crosbie in the fourth quarter and both of his passes were intercepted, including Milton Proctor's 35-yard touchdown that completed the scoring with 3:53 remaining.

The Aggies have lost nine of 10 meetings to Big 12 teams this decade, with the only win being a 28-16 victory over Kansas State in 1992. Utah state leads the all-time series, 3-2.

Rheem kicked field goals of 24 and 43 yards in the first 11:37 to stake Kansas State to a 6-0 lead. Crosbie was intercepted on the following possession and Rheem kicked a 57-yard field goal for a 9-0 cushion.

"I was not quite happy with our offense, quite obviously," said Kansas State coach Bill Snyder. "Many times we shot ourselves in the foot. We had some plays in the first half that were erased by some penalties and we had a couple of turnovers. We just played rather shabbily."

Kansas State took a 12-0 lead into halftime after Rheem kicked a 25-yard field goal with 3:08 left in the second quarter.

Beasley hooked up with Quincy Morgan for a 32-yard touchdown 3:16 into the fourth quarter.

Demario Brown, who ran for a career-high 225 yards in Utah State's win over Arkansas State last week, was limited to nine yards on 14 carries.
