PALO ALTO, California (Ticker) -- Brian Allen scored on a 37-yard run with 3:45 left as Stanford remained unbeaten in the Pac-10 Conference with a 21-17 victory over Oregon State.

Allen had given the Cardinal a 14-10 advantage a 20-yard touchdown run with 6 1/2 minutes to play. But Oregon State (4-2, 1-2 Pac-10) reclaimed the lead on its next possession on Jonathan Smith's 69-yard scoring strike to Roddy Tompkins.

However, Allen followed with his TD run to help Stanford (4-2, 4-0) remain on top of the conference. Allen finished with 99 yards on nine carries as the Cardinal won its sixth straight conference game dating to last season.

Stanford also welcomed back quarterback Todd Husak, who missed one game with bruised ribs. He completed 20-of-34 passes for 312 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Smith had a huge game, completing 23-of-41 passes for 405 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Tompkins had five catches for 134 yards and Imani Percoats had five for 102 .
