WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Quarterback Brandon Streeter retured from injury to rush for a touchdown and help Clemson defeat Wake Forest, 12-3, in a Atlantic Coast Conference battle.

Streeter suffered a broken collarbone against North Carolina on October 2. He came off the bench in the fourth quarter in relief of starter Woody Dantzler and led Clemson on a 11-play 39-yard drive, capped by his one-yard TD plunge that gave the Tigers (4-4, 4-2 ACC) a 12-3 lead with 78 seconds remaining.

Streeter completed 3-of-7 passes for 72 yards, while Dantzler was 22-of-32 for 201 yards and an interception.

With 6:30 remaining in the first quarter, Wake Forest long-snapper Brad Smith sailed the ball over punter Matt Brennie's head and out of the end zone to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.

The lead stood until the final play of the third quarter, when Demon Deacons kicker Matthew Burdick capped a 13-play, 51-yard drive with a 23-yard field goal.

With 7:08 left in the game, freshman Tony Lazzara booted a 19-yard field goal to give Clemson a 5-3 lead. Lazzara missed a potential game-tying field goal in the final two minutes last weekend against top-ranked Florida State in a 17-14 loss.

Ben Sankey completed 13-of-24 passes for 128 yards and two interceptions for Wake Forest, which was outgained by the Tigers, 394-239.

Clemson built its lead in the all-time series to 50-14-1 with its fifth win in the last six meetings between the schools.
