TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Todd Husak completed 20-of-35 yards for 311 yards and a career-high four touchdowns as Stanford moved one step closer to the Pac-10 title with a 50-30 triumph over Arizona State. Husak, who threw three touchdown passes on two occasions earlier this season, fell 53 yards short of his career high set against UCLA on September 25. He also moved past Guy Benjamin into fifth place on the Cardinal all-time passing yards list with 6,014. Husak fired three scoring tosses in the first half, including a six-yard toss to Casey Moore as Stanford (6-3, 6-1 Pac-10) opened a 21-3 lead. He threw his fourth scoring pass late in the third quarter, a 27-yard strike to Troy Walters for a 47-24 Stanford cushion as it snapped a three-game skid to the Sun Devils (5-5, 4-3). Walters, who broke the Pac-10 receptions record last week, led the Cardinal with seven catches for 127 yards and has 231 receptions for his career. DeRonnie Pitts, Dave Davis and Casey Moore also had touchdown catches for Stanford, which only needs to beat California (4-6) next week to clinch its first Rose Bowl bid in 28 seasons. The Cardinal reached the 50-point plateau for the third time this season. Ryan Kealy completed 24-of-46 passes for 324 yards and two scores for Arizona State and moved past Paul Justin for fourth place on the school's all-time passing list with 5,987 yards. Todd Heap caught seven passes for 97 yards for the Sun Devils, who allowed at least 50 points twice last season.
