LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (Ticker) -- Boo Williams caught a 54-yard touchdown pass from Robby Hampton with 6:12 left as Arkansas, which wasted a 17-point lead, pulled out a 38-31 victory over Boise State. The Razorbacks (2-0) seemed to have things in hand when Cedric Cobbs scored on a one-yard touchdown run with 2:54 left in the third quarter for a 31-14 advantage. But Boise State fought back as David Mikell returned the ensuing kickoff 98 yards for a score. That broke Arkansas' streak of 10 straight quarters without allowing a touchdown and was the second longest kickoff return in Broncos' history. Nick Calaycay kicked a 41-yard field goal and Brock Forsey caught a 42-yard TD pass from Bart Hendricks in the fourth for a 31-31 tie. Arkansas regained the lead for good when Williams' score completed a five-play, 84-yard drive. Boise State (2-1) took the ball to the Razorbacks 9-yard line with one minute left, but Hendricks through an incomplete pass on 4th-and-goal. Williams caught five passes for 171 yards for Arkansas, which is 14-0 in home games under coach Houston Nutt. It has won 15 straight in-state contests. Hampton completed 12-of-27 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns and Cedric Cobbs had 34 carries for 174 yards and two scores for the Razorbacks. Hendricks completed 23-of-48 passes for 304 yards and two touchdowns for the Broncos, who had their eight-game winning streak halted. They were tied with Nebraska for the third-longest active streak in Division I-A. This was Boise State's first game against a Southeastern Conference school.
