COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Ja'Mar Toombs had two rushing touchdowns and Mark Farris completed 16-of-21 passes for 186 yards as Texas A&M opened Big 12 Conference play with a 33-15 victory over previously unbeaten Texas Tech. With Texas A&M leading 19-15 midway through the fourth quarter, Toombs help break open the game. He scored on a three-run TD run with 6:58 left and added a one-yard scoring run 76 seconds later for the final margin. The victory was the Aggies' third straight overall and 22nd in a row at Kyle Field. Their home-winning streak is the nation's third-longest active run, eight behind Florida State. Texas A&M (3-1, 1-0 Big 12 South) got the job done in rushing yards, where it gained a 159-23 advantage. Joe Weber scored on a 14-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and Rich Whitaker added a two-yard scoring plunge in the second. Whitaker had 12 carries for 73 yards and Weber finished with 10 carries for 42 yards for the Aggies, who have won six straight against the Red Raiders (4-1, 0-1). Robert Ferguson benefitted from Farris' output with eight receptions for 95 yards for Texas A&M. Texas Tech wasted a huge performance from Kliff Kingsbury, who completed 28-of-50 passed for 291 yards. He has passed for a least 240 yards in his last four contests. Tim Baker had nine receptions for 90 yards for the Red Raiders, who were denied their first 5-0 start since opening the 1998 campaign with six victories.
