SEATTLE (Ticker) -- With Oregon State shooting for its best start since 1939, Washington provided a dose of reality. Marques Tuiasosopo ran for a touchdown and passed for another as the Huskies handed Oregon State its first loss and extended its winning streak over the Beavers to 13 games with a wild 33-30 Pac-10 Conference victory. The Beavers had a chance to send the game into overtime but Ryan Cesca missed a 45-yard field goal in the waning seconds. Tuiasosopo completed 20-of-32 passes for 223 yards and added 40 yards on 10 carries for Washington (4-1, 1-1 Pac-10), which bounced back from a loss to Oregon and scored the most points allowed by Oregon State this season. Oregon State entered the game ranked sixth nationally in total defense and fourth in rushing defense. But the Huskies had little problem moving the ball, gaining 281 yards on the ground in addition to Tuiasosopo's aerial performance. The Beavers (4-1, 1-1), who recored their first winning season in 29 years in 1999, were playing in their first ranked game since January 4, 1969.
