LARAMIE, Wyoming (Ticker) -- Mark Farris threw for 341 yards and Joe Weber scored on three one-yard touchdown plunges as Texas A&M posted a 28-20 road victory over Wyoming on Thursday night. Farris completed 30-of-42 passes and has thrown for 200 or more yards in eight of his last nine games. It was the fifth game in which he attempted 40 or more passes in his career. Wyoming (1-1) opened the scoring when Nate Scott ran in for a touchdown from four yards out just over 3 1/2 minutes into the game. But Weber capped an eight-play, 51-yard drive with his first touchdown to tie the game with 1:52 left in the first quarter. Weber added a pair of second-quarter scores as Texas A&M (2-0) grabbed a 21-7 lead. But the Cowboys halved their deficit with a 30-yard touchdown pass from Casey Bramlet to Malcom Floyd to trail by just seven points at halftime. Jarvis Wallum booted field goals of 52 yards and 25 yards in the third quarter to pull Wyoming within 21-20. But Farris capped a six-play, 78-yard drive by scrambling to his right and finding a wide open Dwain Goynes for a 38-yard touchdown pass that provided an eight-point margin with 7:31 remaining. Redshirt freshman Keith Joseph rushed for 105 yards on 21 carries as the Aggies outgained Wyoming, 172-139, on the ground. Bramlet was 11-for-26 for 171 yards but threw a pair of interceptions.
