FORT COLLINS, Colorado (Ticker) -- Duan Ruff rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown as Colorado State posted its first win of the season with a 35-18 victory over Nevada. Ruff, who carried 14 times, put the Rams (1-1) ahead to stay, 14-7, on a three-yard TD run with 9:13 remaining in the first half. D.J. Busch's one-yard plunge made it 21-7 before Nevada (0-2) got closer on Damon Fine's 36-yard field goal with 17 seconds to go in the third quarter. But Colorado State made it 28-10 on Busch's 38-yard TD pass to Pete Rebstock 2:16 into the fourth quarter and put away the contest on Bradlee Van Pelt's 35-yard TD strike to Chris Pitman with 2:10 left. Nevada's Zac Threadgill threw a meaningless 23-yard TD to Mo Jones in the final seconds. Busch completed 7-of-14 for 158 yards, while Van Pelt was 4-of-6 for 77 yards. Threadgill completed 25-of-44 for 265 yards, but was picked off three times. Chance Kretschmer paced the Wolf Pack on the ground with 114 yards on 24 carries. Colorado State, which rebounded from last week's 41-14 loss to Colorado, improved to 6-0 all-time against Nevada.
