EUGENE, Oregon (Ticker) -- Joey Harrington threw a pair of touchdown passes as eighth-ranked Oregon extended its home-winning winning streak to 22 games with a 24-10 victory over Utah.

A Heisman Trophy candidate, Harrington threw touchdown passes of 24 and 14 yards to Keenan Howry. The senior has accounted for five touchdowns in the Ducks' first two games.

Harrington has 37 touchdown passes in his career, tying former NFL great Dan Fouts for sixth place in school history.

Maurice Morris ran three yards for a touchdown late in the first half for Oregon (2-0), which was coming off a hard-fought 31-28 victory over Wisconsin in its season opener.

"Our offense had opportunties to score, but thankfully the our defense allowed us to stay in the game," Morris said.

The Ducks also extended their home winning streak over non-conference teams to 15 games. Oregon's last loss at Autzen Stadium to a team outside the Pac-10 Conference was a 34-16 defeat to Utah in 1994.

"Anytime you come here, you're going against the Autzen streak and a top 10 team in the nation," Oregon coach Mike Bellotti said. "There's everything to gain and nothing to lose."

Adam Tate had a three-yard TD run in the second quarter for the Utes (1-1), who lost for the 17th time in 24 all-time meetings against Oregon.

Sluggish for much of the way in last week's victory, the Ducks wasted no time in getting their offense going in this contest.

Harrington and the Ducks needed just three plays to move 71 yards and open the scoring. Harrington capped the abbreviated drive with a 24-yard touchdown pass down the middle to Howry for a 7-0 lead with 10:32 left in the first quarter.

Howry has caught a pass in 25 straight games.

Harrington was accurate most of the afternoon, completing 17-of-27 passes for 220 yards without an interception. His favorite target was sophomore Jason Willis, who had nine receptions for 107 yards.

After falling into the early hole, the Utes got on the scoreboard with 3:23 left in the opening quarter on Ryan Kaneshiro's 21-yard field goal.

Jared Siegel capped an eight-play, 76-yard drive with a 21-yard field goal on the first play of the second quarter, giving Oregon a 10-3 advantage.

Showing they were not intimidated by the hostile crowd, the Utes answered Siegel's score by going 80 yards in 13 plays for the tying score. Tate capped the Utes' long drive with 9:14 to play before halftime by running three yards for a score.

"You never feel good when you lose, but I think we were right there," Utah coach Ron McBride said. "We know we're good enough to beat a team like this."

But the Ducks took the lead for good near the end off the first half. Morris culminated a 93-yard drive with 1:16 left before halftime with a three-yard run, giving Oregon a 16-10 advantage.

Morris finished with 59 yards on 12 carries. In last week's win, the senior was held to 18 yards on 15 attempts.

Following a scoreless third quarter, Harrington provided the final margin with a 14-yard TD pass Howry less than a minute into the final period. Howry had five catches for 47 yards.

Utah's Dameon Hunter carried 25 times for 104 yards. He helped take some of the pressure off quarterback Lance Davis, who struggled and went 21-of-39 for 170 yards with one interception.
