CHAMPAIGN, Illinois (Ticker) -- In a duel of quarterbacks, Kurt Kittner passed for 301 yards and two touchdowns as Illinois snapped Louisville's seven-game regular season winning streak with a 34-10 victory.

Kittner completed 19-of-38 passes, including a 38-yard TD strike to Walter Young that gave Illinois (3-0) a 24-10 lead with 5:26 remaining in the third quarter.

Louisville's Dave Ragone was 22-of-39 for 309 yards and one touchdown. But he was picked off three times, one of which was returned 100 yards for a touchdown by cornerback Christian Morton that staked the Fighting Illini to a 17-7 lead with 7:17 remaining in the second quarter.

Illinois' defense took control in the second half, outscoring Louisville, 17-0.

Antoineo Harris rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries for the Illini. Harris' six-yard TD run capped the scoring with 11:27 to go in the fourth quarter.

Deion Branch grabbed nine passes for 174 yards for Louisville (3-1), but the Cardinals were held to just 29 yards on the ground on 25 attempts.

Louisville grabbed a 7-3 lead on Ragone's three-yard TD pass to Ronnie Ghent with 2:20 left in the first quarter.

But Illinois answered in just 20 seconds, taking the lead for good on Kittner's three-yard TD toss to Carey Davis.

Illinois grabbed a 3-2 lead in the all-time series.
