OXFORD, Ohio (Ticker) -- Ben Roethlisberger threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another score, leading Miami Ohio to its first victory of the season, 21-14 over Cincinnati. The sophomore completed 20-of-25 for 264 yards and no interceptions and rushed for 16 yards on 12 attempts. Roethlisberger threw a 43-yard TD pass to Michael Larkin with 6:19 remaining in the opening quarter to give Miami (1-2) a 7-0 lead. After Cincinnati (1-2) tied the game in the second quarter, Roethlisberger's 13-yard TD run on 2nd-and-11 put Miami ahead for good 2:18 into the third period. The Bearcats went three-and out on the ensuing possession and Miami drove 58 yards on nine plays, taking a 21-7 lead on Roethlisberger's 7-yard TD toss to Chauncey Henry with 7:19 to go in the third. Cincinnati closed to 21-14 2:50 into the fourth quarter on a 12-yard TD run by Dema McCleskey, which capped an 89-yard drive. Gino Guidugli completed 22-of-36 passes for 206 yards and an interception for the Bearcats. Miami opened with a pair of losses to Big 10 teams, suffering a 31-13 loss to Michigan and a 44-19 setback to Iowa.
