COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Ticker) -- Mark Farris hit Jamaar Taylor for a 19-yard touchdown midway through the third quarter and Texas A&M went on to post a 21-7 victory over Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Conference opener for both schools. Farris then hit Taylor for six yards before again finding the Mission, Texas native for the TD. Freshman cornerback Eric Crutchfield recovered a fumble in the end zone shortly thereater to provide the Aggies (2-0, 1-0 Big 12 South) with the winning margin. Farris attempted 25 passes and was held to 92 yards in a defensive battle. The Aggies totaled 240 yards while holding the Cowboys to 199 and sacked Aso Pogi six times for minus-29 yards. Pogi was 13-of-27 for 110 yards while Tatum Bell totaled 94 yards on 22 carries for Oklahoma State (1-2, 0-1), which was playing a league opener on the road for a sixth straight season.
