CHESTNUT HILL, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- William Green rushed for 113 yards -- his fifth straight 100-yard game this season -- as Boston College posted a 33-10 Big East Conference victory over Temple.

Green, the nation's second-leading rusher behind Maryland's Bruce Perry, carried 25 times and scored on runs of two and 28 yards in the second half.

In five games this season, Green has rushed for 713 yards on 140 carries.

Brian St. Pierre completed 12-of-22 for 141 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles (4-1, 2-0 Big East), who struggled to a 12-0 halftime lead before breaking it open in the second half.

Boston College has won three straight since a 38-22 loss at Stanford on September 8.

St. Pierre's 24-yard TD pass to Jamal Burke gave the Eagles a 19-0 lead with 9:36 remaining in the third quarter.

After Temple got on the board on Cap Poklemba's 35-yard field goal, Green's two-yard TD run made it 26-3 with 10 seconds left in the third.

Jason McKie scored on a two-yard run for Temple (1-3, 0-1) five minutes into the final quarter before Green capped the scoring with 1:40 remaining.

Mac Devito completed 11-of-21 for the Owls, but was held to only 101 yards. Boston College limited Temple to 50 yards on the ground.

Temple has dropped three straight since a season-opening victory over Navy.

Boston College increased its lead in the all-time series to 24-8-2. The Eagles have won 14 of 15 meetings at Alumni Stadium.
