CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Freshman Gino Guidugli threw for 312 yards and four touchdows and DeMarco McCleskey rushed for 139 yards as Cincinnati snapped a five-game losing streak to Tulane with a 46-33 Conference USA victory.

In his second start, Guidugli threw for three touchdowns in the third quarter as Cincinnati (2-2, 2-0 C-USA) survived a late rally to defeat the Green Wave for the first time since 1981.

The Bearcats posted just their third victory in 13 all-time contests with Tulane and won for the first time in five meetings since both teams have been in Conference USA.

The Bearcats opened a 24-13 lead when Ray Jackson caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Guidugli with 10:01 left in the third quarter.

Eight minutes later, Jackson caught a three-yard pass from Guidugli, who connected with Tye Keith on 45-yard score with 38 seconds left in the third for a 39-19 cushion.

Cincinnati needed the breathing room as Tulane engineered two long scoring drives in the fourth period.

Kris Coleman capped a 92-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run with 12:44 left in the game. Patrick Ramsey finished an 83-yard march with a 14-yard touchdown pass to phenom Mewelde Moore to pull Tulane within 39-33 with 9:02 remaining.

After the Bearcats forced Tulane (1-5, 0-2) to turn the ball over on downs with 1:37 left, McCleskey completed a 52-yard drive with a four-yard touchdown. He jumped from 16th to 12th on Cincinnati's all-time rushing list.

Guidugli completed 22-of-32 passes as Cincinnati won a home game against Tulane for just the second time in seven tries.

Keith caught five passes for 124 yards and LaDaris Vann had seven catches for 91 yards. Jackson's only two catches came on touchdowns, but he rushed for 90 yards on 14 carries as Cincinnati piled up 227 yards on the ground.

Moore surpassed that total by himself for Tulane, rushing for 251 yards, his second consecutive 200-yard game and just the fifth in school history. Moore also caught six passes for 87 yards to finish with 338 yards of total offense.

Ramsey completed 24-of-45 passes for 253 yards and two touchdowns, but was intercepted twice.
