BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- Antoineo Harris rushed 106 yards and Carey Davis collected 84 of his 114 total yards on the ground as Illinois utilized its ground game in a 35-14 Big Ten Conference victory over Indiana. The Fighting Illini totaled 392 yards of offense, including 276 rushing as they used four different players to carry the ball at least six times each. Harris and Davis led the way, but Rockey Harvey rushed for 78 yards on 11 carries and quaterback Kurt Kittner ran for 22 yards. Kittner also completed 12-of-17 passes for 116 yards -- nearly 150 below his average -- as Illinois (5-1, 2-1 Big Ten) improved to 5-1 for the first time since 1990. It is above .500 in conference play for the first time since 1994. Kittner put Illinois ahead with his first touchdown pass, connecting with Davis from one-yard out with 27 seconds left in the first quarter. Indiana's Levron Williams scored on a two-yard run with 11:07 left in the second quarter, but Bryan Robertson's extra point was blocked. The Fighting Illini hung on to the one-point lead until Kittner hit Walter Young for an 18-yard touchdown with 1:50 left in the third quarter. Harvey had touchdown runs of 10 and eight yards in the fourth quarter as Illinois bolsetered the lead. The Hoosiers pulled within 28-14 after Antwaan Randle El threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Henry Frazier and converted the two-point play with a pass to Kris Dielman. Harris sealed the victory in the final minutes, capping a 51-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run with 1:53 to go. Kittner moved ahead of Tony Eason for third on the school's all-time list for completions with 568. He also passed Eason for third in total offense, increasing his total to 7,088. Indiana (1-4, 1-2) ran for 194 yards led by Randle El, who rushed 20 times for 101 yards. He also completed 18-of-36 passes for 165 yards, threw a touchdown and was intercepted. Williams carried 13 times for 91 yards and Jeremi Johnson ran six times for 31.
