COLUMBIA, Missouri (Ticker) -- Tony Yelk kicked a pair of fourth-quarter field goals and Ennis Haywood rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns, leading Iowa State to its seventh win in eight games, 20-14 over Big 12 Conference rival Missouri.

Yelk put the Cyclones (4-1, 2-1 Big 12) ahead for good, 17-14, with a 21-yard field goal with 6:39 remaining. He added a 24-yarder less than three minutes later to cap Iowa State's third straight win over Missouri.

Haywood scored twice against the Tigers (2-3, 1-2) for the second year in a row, although he was held to roughly half of the 214 yards he gained in last season's contest. The All-Big 12 tailback started the scoring early in the second quarter with a 21-yard TD and went in from four yards late in the third to forge a 14-14 tie.

In between, Missouri grabbed the lead as Kirk Farmer ran five yards for a touchdown and threw a six-yard scoring toss to tight end Dwayne Blakley.

In a steady rain, the teams mainly kept the ball on the ground. Iowa State rolled up 207 rushing yards and the Tigers had 229. Zack Abron led Missouri with a career-best 147 yards on 21 carries.

Farmer completed 14-of-31 passes for 137 yards with a TD and an interception. Seneca Wallace was 13-of-22 for just 75 yards.

The Cyclones have won 13 of their last 17 games for their best stretch since 1977-78.
