FORT WORTH, Texas (Ticker) -- Casey Printers threw for three touchdowns, two to Matt Schobel, and ran for another as Texas Christian registered a 37-22 Conference USA victory over No. 17 Louisville in the first meeting between the schools.

TCU (5-5, 3-3 C-USA) set a school record by allowing minus-47 yards on the ground. Louisville had 25 carries as it also set a school mark for fewest rushing yards.

Printers completed 13-of-24 passes for 256 yards, overcoming one interception. The junior has 36 TD passes this season, third-most in school history.

The loss denied Louisville (10-2, 6-1 C-USA) a school-record 11 victories in a season and snapped its seven-game winning streak.

TCU fell one shy of its season high of 38 at SMU on September 8 and vs. Army on October 20. It also was the most Louisville has allowed since surrendering 59 in a double-overtime loss at Army on October 7, 1999.

The Horned Frogs scored on the opening play from scrimmage when Printers and Adrian Madise connected on an 80-yard pass just 18 seconds into the game.

Madise totaled 116 yards on just four catches. He has 20 catches for 329 yards and two touchdowns over the last three games.

Printers extended TCU's lead to 14-0 just under two minutes later when he took the snap at the 3 and ran it in.

Louisville got on the board with 1:12 left in the quarter on a 22-yard touchdown from Dave Ragone to Richard Owens, his only catch of the game.

Ragone completed 32-of-50 passes for 359 yards and three TDs. The sophomore has thrown for more than 3,000 yards this season.

Schobel, who had four catches for 59 yards, caught the first of his two TD passes 37 seconds into the second quarter as he and Printers connected from 24 yards out, giving TCU a 21-7 lead.

Nick Brown booted a 22-yard field goal just over two minutes later and kicked a 50-yarder with just 16 seconds left in the half as the Horned Frogs opened a 20-point lead.

The Cardinals answered on the next possession as Ragone threw a desperation pass from his own 22 that a TCU defender tried to knock down. Instead, the ball fell into the hands of Deion Branch inside the 25 and he ran into the end zone to cut the deficit to 27-14 at halftime.

Printers and Schobel connected again on a 22-yard TD pass with 9:14 left in the third quarter, Brown kicked a 37-yard field goal to cap the scoring for the Horned Frogs.

Ragone threw a five-yard pass to Ronnie Ghent with just 2:36 left.
