BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Ticker) -- Antwaan Randle El has finally beaten Purdue.

Playing in his final Big Ten Conference game, Randle El had 162 yards of total offense and a touchdown as Indiana reclaimed the Old Oaken Bucket with a 13-7 victory over the Boilermakers in a driving rainstorm.

Randle El had a modest afternoon, completing 7-of-19 passes for 96 yards and rushing for 66. But he received plenty of help from the defense as the Hoosiers ended Purdue's four-game winning streak in the series.

Indiana (4-6, 4-4 Big Ten) took a 7-0 lead on Levron Williams' 52-yard touchdown run just under two minutes into the contest.

The Hoosiers' defense made a big play when it recovered a fumble by Purdue quarterback Kyle Orton at the Boilermakers 34. Randle El capped an eight-play drive with a 10-yard touchdown run for a 13-0 halftime lead.

Purdue (6-4, 4-4) got its lone touchdown on a 14-yard TD pass from Orton to John Standeford 4:08 into the third period.

The Boilermakers had a chance to take the lead in the fourth quarter when they had a 1st-and-goal at the Hoosiers 8. Orton found Standeford for seven yards on third down, but running back Montrell Lowe was stuffed on fourth down.

Orton completed 31-of-62 passes for 263 yards and the one touchdown.

Indiana, which hosts Kentucky in its season finale next week, finished with a .500 Big Ten mark for the first time since 1994. Purdue leads the all-time series, 63-35-6.
