MONROE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- J.P. Losman threw a career-high four touchdown passes as Tulane snapped a three-game losing streak with a 52-9 thrashing of Louisiana-Monroe.
Losman completed 21-for-35 passes for 300 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown strike to Carl Davis on the last play of the third quarter. It was Losman's first 300-yard game of the season.
Davis caught a team-high four passes for 111 yards. Cletus McGee, Tristan Smith and Jerome Landry also had touchdown catches for the Green Wave.
Tulane (3-3) rebounded from last week's 49-0 home loss to No. 2 Texas and improved to 68-68-7 all-time against in-state opponents.
UL-Monroe (0-5) actually led, 3-0, after the first quarter on a 21-yard field goal by Tyler Kuecker, who added kicks of 35 and 42 yards in the second period.
The loss was the sixth in a row and 11th in the last 12 games for UL-Monroe. Since October 6 of last year, the Indians' only win came on November 17 at Arkansas State.
UL-Monroe's Steven Jyles completed just 19-for-46 passes and was intercepted four times. The Indians were more effective on the ground as Bryant Jacobs carried 13 times for 119 yards.
Tulane's Mewelde Moore ran 23 times for 82 yards, including a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
